Located in Kew, Dawson is a laid back restaurant serving food from 8am till late. The menu boasts a range of delicious eats from hotcakes to pizza, burgers and paella, all made by a team of experienced and passionate chefs.
We absolutely loved tasting our way through the menu.
To start the grilled octopus is not to be missed. Perfectly cooked, the octopus’ natural salinity is further enhanced by a chorizo crumb and zesty salsa verde.
For mains the Miso glazed salmon is perfect for the summery weather. This was a beautifully light dish that is full of umami – think cubes of mouth-watering salmon tossed with slippery soba noodles, broccolini, edamame beans, spring onion, bean shoots, coriander and mint, brought together with a stunning soy and sesame dressing.
If you’re hungry and looking for something heartier, the slow roasted lamb shoulder certainly satisfies. We loved the beautifully tender lamb paired with grain salad, beetroot labneh, fluffy za’atar flatbread, fresh herbs and lemon.
Dessert time is equally as exciting at Dawson. Whatever you do, do not go home without trying the Matcha & Berries which is everything good in life – quivering matcha panna cotta, raspberry parfait, caramelised white chocolate and dehydrated berries. It’s just a little fancy.
