Aagaman

Aagaman is a Port Melbourne neighbourhood gem. The menu gratifies Indian and Nepali cuisine cravings with fresh flavoured curries and expert tandoor cooking and showcases a range of old favourites alongside contemporary dishes.

To start, the Annari tandoori chicken was delicious. Wonderfully tender chicken has been marinated in yoghurt, pomegranate juice, and authentic Indian spices before being cooked traditionally in a Tandoor clay oven.

The Tawa prawns were similarly delightful. We loved the plump King prawns which boasted a beautiful flavour courtesy of being cooked with crushed garlic, yoghurt, Indian spices and lime juice.

For mains, a trio of decadent curries hit the spot. The Chettinad madras curry chicken was a crowd pleaser, a classic south indian recipe, cooked with authentic chettinad spices, finished with coconut cream.

The vegetarian curry of Eggplant masala was our favourite curry of the night. It was a silky smooth curry prepared with eggplant and potato, onion, tomato, and garlic. The hero of the show was, as expected, the eggplant - beautifully unctuous and melt in your mouth,

The Goan fish curry was also very enjoyable. The fish was cooked in a home made paste of spices, coconut milk and cream.

For dessert, do not go past the Dark chocolate samosa - Think crisp pastry encasing gooey dark chocolate.

If you’re after a memorable Indian Nepali dining experience in Melbourne, Aagaman has got you sorted.
