Pollen, Singapore - Afternoon tea in an enchanted indoor garden

Inspired by British culture and cuisine; and the unique environment of the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, Pollen presents visitors with a welcoming fine-dining experience within a climate-controlled environment in an unrivalled setting.

We loved experiencing afternoon tea at the Pollen. Our journey to Pollen commenced with a personalised buggy service to the restaurant where we were led to the Pollen Terrace which features a distinctive setting surrounded by herbs and vegetation, complete with a sub 20-degree temperature, allowing guests to escape the usual heat and humidity of the Singapore weather.

We were pleased by the selection of savoury and sweet delights complemented by fine teas. The sandwiches were pleasant to eat and were kept deliberately simple with tried and true flavour combinations. Of particular note was the Italian themed focaccia with oozy buffalo mozzarella and juicy confit tomatoes.

A key component to a successful afternoon tea is the selection of sweet treats. Thankfully, these looked as good as they tasted. We especially adored the Passion fruit meringue tart. The combination of crumbly pastry and wonderfully tart passionfruit and decadent meringue was a marriage made in heaven; it was truly superlative in every sense.

Afterwards, we took a stroll in the Flower Dome (access comes complimentary for all Pollen guests). Just perfect. Definitely one experience you should add onto your Singapore visit.
