Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island

Spread across 65 acres of rustic countryside, just two hours’ drive from Melbourne, Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island is a great option for a relaxed, no fuss holiday where you can experience the island’s diverse wildlife and natural beauty. The family-friendly resort is perfect for nature lovers and features self-contained villa accommodation including studio, two and three-bedroom standard, Deluxe and Grand villas.

Three-bedroom villa

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the resort’s spacious three-bedroom villa. The villa comfortably sleeps up to six guests and features a queen bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the guest bedroom. Wonderfully generous in size, the villa boasts a living room, the convenience of a full kitchen, dining area, washer/dryer, balcony/patio and Wi-Fi, making it ideal for travelling families.

Facilities

The excellent resort facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and toddler pool, gym, spa, two tennis courts, e-bikes and seven kilometres of wonderfully scenic walking and cycling tracks surrounding the resort. The pedal carts are an extremely popular and fun activity that we highly recommend. There is even a mini–Grand Prix track if you want to get a little competitive! There are also EV Destination Chargers which makes it extremely attractive for EV owners.

Flametrees Restaurant & Bar

While staying at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island, we recommend enjoying the convenience of the onsite restaurant, Flametrees Restaurant & Bar. The eatery offers an extensive internationally inspired menu that is accompanied by a wine and cocktail list. The entire menu is available for dine-in or takeaway. Find out more here.

Why vacation ownership is becoming increasingly popular with families

For families who love to travel regularly, vacation ownership is becoming an increasingly appealing alternative to traditional hotel stays. One of the biggest advantages is the style of accommodation itself, with resorts typically offering far more space than a standard hotel room. At Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island, for example, the self-contained villas feature multiple bedrooms, full kitchens, laundry facilities and generous living areas, making longer stays with children significantly more comfortable and convenient.

The family-friendly facilities are another major drawcard. At Phillip Island, guests have access to two swimming pools including a children’s pool, a playground, gym, tennis courts and the ever-popular pedal kart track, which provides hours of entertainment for kids. Many Club Wyndham South Pacific resorts also offer complimentary activities and equipment hire, with experiences ranging from hobby farms in Tasmania to gold sluicing and history tours in Ballarat.

Club Wyndham South Pacific operates a flexible, points-based vacation ownership system that allows owners to use annual credits across a portfolio of 68 resorts in 10 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Hawaii, Italy, France and Germany. The flexibility of the program makes it particularly well-suited to generational travel, whether that means travelling with grandparents, extended family or groups of friends.

Rather than paying for holidays individually each year, owners purchase an allotment of annual credits that can be used like currency across the resort network. Flexible cancellation policies also allow credits to be transferred between resorts if plans unexpectedly change, adding further peace of mind for families booking ahead.

Another appealing aspect is the consistency of the experience. Travellers can explore new destinations while still enjoying the familiarity of spacious accommodation, quality facilities and family-oriented resort amenities. At the conclusion of the club term in 2080, the properties are sold and owners are eligible to share in any net proceeds from the sale.
