Under the guidance of head chef Jason Kubasek (former head chef of Pillar of Salt & High Society), Bentleigh's local favourite Good Times Milk Bar delivers a mouth-watering menu.
As its name suggests there are plenty of good times to be had here. Coffee is great and poured by adept baristas and there are also plenty of non-caffeine options to choose from.
On the food front, everything we tasted was delicious. Think duck poke bowls with lean and tender slices of duck served with an enticing mix of black rice, avocado, edamame, cucumber, seaweed salad, radish, wasabi kewpie and nori crisps. For something heartier we recommend the lamb tacos – tender pulled lamb shoulder, chickpeas, poblano chilli, whipped lemon feta, chipotle maple glaze and cucumber salsa sit atop fluffy tortillas. Just yum!
If you have a sweet tooth then do not leave without trying the stunning hotcake. A fluffy piece of hotcake is topped with house baked pavlova, passionfruit, strawberries, double cream, pink chocolate shards and berry coulis. It’s truly a thing of beauty.
