Located in the heart of the CBD, the iconic Rialto Towers is now home to one of Melbourne's most loved bakeries, Rustica.
The space exudes an aura of calm - perfect for a momentary escape from the hustles and bustles of the city. With stunning light filled interiors and a menu exploding with colours and flavours, Rustica Rialto is unlike any bakery-cafe you’ve experienced before.
Standing tall on bustling Collins St, Rustica Rialto offers inner city Melbournians artisan breads and pastries, breakfast/lunch fare and coffee without the wait. A hub for diverse professionals, Rustica’s latest location has been designed with an effortless “grab and go” mentality. There are delicious cooked to order brunch options as well as an array of deli sandwiches, fresh salad options and delectable pastries on offer for those that are on the run.
Designed by founder Brenton Lang and head chef Tori Bicknell, each menu item reflects Rustica’s impeccable quality and time honoured baking techniques.
We loved tasting our way through the unique menu. Our top picks include the Rialto Nourish Bowl - a nutrient dense concoction of mixed grains, kimchi, daikon, pickled vegetables, greens, sesame avocado and Asian slaw which we enjoyed with a side of their stunning dill cured ocean trout.
If you are a fan of the avo on toast, Rustica Rialto's jazzed up version will have you licking your lips. Think crusty sourdough topped with avocado, burrata cheese, pickled heirloom tomato, salsa verde and pepita dukkah. Just. Yum.
Whatever you do, do not leave without trying the pastries from the cabinet. Think coffee and coco pop cronuts, Nutella croissants, vanilla crème brulee donut and raspberry lychee bronut. And yes, they are all delicious.
Not your typical bakery, Rustica Rialto is bringing an artisan flair to Melbourne CBD's lunchtime rush.
