Located in the leafy suburb of Mount Waverley, Stanley is a gem of a café serving delightful brunch options alongside some of the best coffee in Melbourne.
The space is airy and expansive and allows plenty of natural light to flow in, making it a wonderful space to imbibe in a delicious weekend brunch with family and friends. The menu boasts a range of both naughty and nice options (all beautifully presented) with a focus on sustainable and seasonable produce. A part from the excellent coffee, the smoothies here are pretty darn good as well.
We loved tasting our way through the menu. The Sriracha Salmon Flora Bowl was a delightfully delicious dish featuring a perfectly cooked slice of salmon served with brown rice, pickled red cabbage, edamame, carrot, avocado, pineapple kimchi and topped with a luscious miso ginger dressing.
For something heartier, the beef brisket benny is a must. A modern twist on a breakfast staple, this generous plate stacks fluffy cheddar cornbread waffles with tender pulled smoked beef brisket, two poached eggs encasing dripping yolk, watercress and jalapeno hollandaise.
For health fiends, the detox salad is a must. We loved the tender morsels of chicken surrounded by red quinoa, kidney beans, pomegranate, kale, red cabbage, sweetcorn, pepitas, carrot, walnuts, grana Padano and beetroot hummus all brought together by a spiced ginger dressing.
For the sweet tooths do not go past the Nutella Hong Kong Waffles. This one is pretty as a picture and tastes just as good! Think fluffy waffles slathered with Nutella and topped with decadent vanilla mascarpone, banana brulee, strawberries, blueberries, pistachio and raspberry puree. It's a real treat!
