Stocksville in Ashwood is a welcoming café s that proudly serves FiveSenses coffee, alongside a delicious menu featuring Melbourne’s favourite brunch options.
The interior is bright and airy and has been distinctively designed by EwertLeaf, taking inspiration from Ashwood’s history and association with the old Stocksville Post Office which was open from 1955 - 1993 on Cleveland Rd.
We loved tasting our way through the menu.
The Basil chicken linguine was delicious. We loved the al dente linguine tossed with tender chicken, garlic, chilli, basil in a tomato cream sauce.
For health fiends we recommend the Village salad - a beautiful amalgamation of quinoa, barley, grilled corn, cabbage, carrot, heirloom tomato, cucumber, mint, coriander, currants, crispy chickpeas, pomegranate, feta and rocket with grilled chicken breast.
A visit to Stocksville would of course be incomplete without their ever popular hot cakes. These were simply stunning. Think fluffy ricotta hot cakes adorned with berries, lashings of maple butter scotch and ice cream. Just yum!
