Turning Point

Café by day and dinner spot by night, Turning Point offers a compelling option to indulge in the weekend lazy brunch ritual.

The third venture by the Undercover Retail Group, the space formerly occupied by Hawk and Hunter has received a beautiful makeover. The new space is bright and airy with light blonde timber furnishings and touches of greenery.

We loved tasting our way through their breakfast menu.

Our top pick from the menu was the Kale and zucchini fritters. The kale, corn and zucchini fritters were lovely. Each fritter boasted a crunchy golden brown exterior while being beautifully succulent and sweet inside. The pickled zucchini and celery salad and spiced yoghurt added a delightful freshness.

Turning Point’s version of the humble eggs benny was also a real highlight. Decadent braised beef brisket potato hash was topped with wilted spinach, perfectly poached eggs encasing oozy yolk and adorned with luxurious hollandaise.

For the sweet tooth, the menu has plenty of stunning options. We particularly enjoyed the light and healthy Nice Cream and Watermelon option featuring banana and raspberry “nice cream”, a fresh watermelon salad and dehydrated fruits. Just yum!
