Gami

First established in 2006, Gami Chicken and Beer are masters in combining tasty fried chicken with refeshing beer. There are different variations of the famous fried chicken, such as original flavour, sweet chilli and soy garlic. The sauces add that extra level of flavour which are influenced by the diverse Korean culture. The chicken itself is moist and juicy which balances well with the crunchy batter.

Although the chicken is the star dish at Gami, there are also a selection of sides which complement the beautiful chicken. The corn cheese is absolutely divine and one of the most popular dishes for a good reason! The dish is simple in concept, but well executed as the cheese is seared to a golden top over loose corn kernels.

The potato heaven was another Gami delight that included three different textural layers of creamy mashed potatoes, cheese (again!) and wedges with sweet chilli and sour cream. The combination of these simple ingredients made the dish incredibly moreish and we had to keep on going back for more!

At Gami, the Gun Bae lager beer is on tap beer and can be served in a whole oak which is great for large groups. The beer itself tastes smooth and crisp which makes it the perfect beverage to enjoy with the fried chicken. The beer is also locally sourced from Thunder Road in Brunswick which now makes 100 kegs exclusively for Gami to supply the growing number of Gami stores around Melbourne.
