Bombay Sapphire x NGV Lunch to celebrate Keith Haring | Jean-Michel Basquiat Exhibition

Gastrology joined Bombay Sapphire over the weekend for a delicious Sunday lunch to celebrate the world premier of Crossing Lines: Keith Haring | Jean-Michel Basquiat Exhibition.

Held on Sunday 1 December at NGV International, the lunch celebrated the opening of the unprecedented world-premiere exhibition of Keith Haring | Jean-Michel Basquiat: Crossing Lines. Through over 200 works, the exhibition presents an overview of each artist’s extraordinarily productive yet tragically short career, from ephemeral pieces that capture the zeitgeist of early ‘80s New York, to collaborative works and objects, collages and notebooks that reveal some of their working method and inspiration, through to the major paintings that led to their phenomenal success within their lifetimes, and recognition today of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring as two of the most significant artists of the late 20th century.

With BOMBAY SAPPHIRE’s ‘Stir Creativity’ mindset and a belief that true creativity comes through collaborations with cultural visionaries in art and design, the creative fusion between BOMBAY SAPPHIRE and the NGV is the perfect fit for this exhibition, which brings together two of the most influential artists of the late 20th century. Speaking to the era and art Haring and Basquiat are famed for, the Gin Room at the NGV Gala offered the perfect backdrop for the lunch and delicious gin cocktails.

Guests were greeted with classic Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic to start along with canapes before sitting down for a delicious three course lunch with matching Bombay Sapphire cocktails.
