Casa 305

Gastrology visited Casa 305 on behalf of the Australian Good Food Guide.

Casa 305 is a family-friendly gem established this year - A modern venue for locals and visitors which fills a void in the area. Visitors are rewarded by a vibrant and spacious dining area and a generous menu that heroes fresh produce and delicious beverages. The venue is also very conscious when it comes to food intolerances and preferences so you can be rest assured there is something for everyone.

To start the fried cauliflower was to die for. Melt in your mouth cumin flavoured cauliflower was encased in ethereally light batter and sat atop creamy turmeric coyo. Just yum! The grilled harissa prawns were similarly delicious - fresh and cooked well.

For mains the Casa Signature Seafood Hot Pot would have delighted any seafood lover. Think plump prawns, scallops, mussels, calamari and Moreton Bay bugs cooked in a luscious sauce of green olives, saffron and spices served with fluffy pilaf rice. If you're more in the mood for a hearty piece of steak, you're in luck. The juicy 400G rib eye on the bone will have you singing. 

Dessert time at Casa 305 continued to please. We loved both the desserts we sampled. The sticky fig and date pudding topped with butterscotch sauce and double cream was wonderfully rich and satisfying. Theatrically presented, the dish was set alight with a shot of rum at the table. The eaton mess was similarly well made, with various textures and flavours including passionfruit, mango, pineapple, meringue and peanut praline.  Both were well executed and thoroughly enjoyable. 

Casa 305 delights with family-friendly dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. It is a venue that the community can proudly call their second home. Visitors to the area are spoilt for choice when dropping in to this Ringwood favourite.
