Colours Kitchen

Charlie Carrington has just opened a new takeaway/ super casual dining venue …and it’s great. A big shift from Atlas’ dining scene but with the same vigour and flavours you have come to love. The menu features a rotating menu of five main dishes from five different places in the world alongside five drinks.

The current menu features Israel, Peru, Vietnam, Mexico and Greece and it’s all good. We loved tasting our way around the world with the Israel, Mexico and Greece bowls.

Israel features tender minced cumin lamb atop a bed of luxurious hummus, Moroccan carrots, Israeli salad, pickles, shrug and dill. It’s a flavour explosion.

Mexico on the other hand is a zesty mix of black bean puree, avocado, corn and crisp tortilla, topped with pork belly and brought together by a lime dressing.

The Greece bowl is perfect for those wanting something lighter and is perfect when the weather is warm. Think beautiful white fish, feta, braised beans and potato, Greek salad, lemon, olive oil and pine nuts. It’s really wholesome stuff.

The drinks menu is pretty exciting too. Our top pick is the Mexico – a blend of pineapple and chilli soda and salt sparkling soda. It’s got just the right amount of chilli hit.

Fresh, vibrant and utterly delicious is the name of the game here, I guess you can say we’re loving all the colours.
