Gami Chicken and Beer

Gami Chicken and Beer are the masters of blending the crispy, mouthwatering fried chicken with refreshing beer. This restaurant has elevated the art of fried chicken to new heights, offering a variety of delectable flavours and enticing options that have captured the hearts (and stomachs) of countless food enthusiasts.

We recently visited Gami Eastland and were blown away by the offering.

The centerpiece of Gami's menu is their world-renowned fried chicken. It's no exaggeration to call this the star of the show. Gami's signature fried chicken is characterised by its juicy and moist interior, encased in a tantalizingly addictive crunchy batter. The flavours on offer are nothing short of spectacular, each one taking your palate on a unique journey through the diverse landscape of Korean cuisine.

Among the variations of this beloved fried chicken, the original flavour offers a classic, no-frills taste that has stood the test of time. For those looking to add a hint of sweetness and a touch of heat to their meal, the sweet chili sauce is a delightful choice. And then there's the soy garlic flavour, a testament to Gami's expertise in creating rich and savoury coatings.

One of our favourite dishes is the Galbi Chicken Ssam - Crispy boneless chicken is coated in a savoury Galbi sauce with a Gami twist, served with fresh spring onions. Experience the traditional "Ssam" by wrapping the chicken in lettuce and pita bread with kimchi salsa, hummus, and crushed garlic.

While the fried chicken takes center stage, Gami Chicken and Beer doesn't stop there. The restaurant offers a splendid selection of sides that perfectly complement the mouthwatering chicken dishes including Prawn Mandu (dumplings) and Gami Cheese Sticks.

There are also other traditional goodies including the Kimchi Pancake which is a delightful pancake infused with the bold flavours of kimchi; Tteokbokki with Mozzarella, a comforting bowl of rice cakes and spicy sauce, topped with gooey melted mozzarella cheese;and Beef Bulgogi, a Korean classic that's sure to please meat lovers.

Whatever you do, do not leave without trying their desserts. The Hotteok is our top pick - a Korean street-style sweet comprising of a glutinous pancake filled with creamy melted black sugar and an assortment of nuts, finished with a generous sprinkle of crushed peanuts. Oh and there’s also the Gami K-Donut if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. Think glutinous donuts filled with sweet red bean paste and artfully drizzled with caramel syrup and condensed milk, then topped with more crushed peanuts.
