Tucked away in the Liverpool St, Hochi Mama serves up a delicious spin on traditional Vietnamese and Thai cuisine.
We enjoyed taking the $59 dinner feast on a test drive. To start, we loved the Hochi chicken bao which comprises of expertly fried chicken topped with kimchi and fermented chilli beans within a soft steamed bun. The satay is another excellent starter and features luscious turmeric chicken skewers and a scrumptious side of peanut satay sauce.
For mains we loved the Massaman lamb curry. We loved this rich Thai style curry made with pineapple, vegetables and tender lamb pieces. Together with creamy coconut rice, this robust and fragrant dish was both addictive and comforting.
Dessert time continues to please. We recommend the Pandan panna cotta. Think wobbly and creamy coconut and pandan panna cotta served with honeycomb a colourful mixture of strawberry and melons and topped with a scoop each of mango and coconut ice-cream.
