Brought to you by the team behind Journeyman, Hammer & Tong, Light Years in Hawthorn East is a stunning cafe serving great brunch options and delicious coffee by Dukes Coffee Rosters, poured by adept baristas. 

We loved tasting our way through the menu. Our top picks include the hearty winter bowl of Jerusalem artichokes, baby dutch potatoes, sweet potato, pumpkin, cauliflower puree, onion soubise, mushroom and chestnut soil, kale, sorrel, luxurious Comte cheese with (wait for it...) generous shavings of Australian truffle shavings. This is one hearty amalgamation of flavours that warms the soul.

For sweet tooths or matcha enthusiasts, do not leave without trying the Matcha Waffles. Think fluffy matcha waffle made from high quality matcha adorned with dark chocolate, a dollop  of lemon cheesecake cream, strawberries, popping candy and space soil. Simply beautiful.
