Get Workshopping your next donburi masterpiece is about to reach an epic level. Rice Workshop has introduced a specially created new dish from Michelin Awarded Japanese Chef, Masahiko Yomoda, called the Roast Wagyu Beef Donburi.
Launched in selected Rice Workshop stores, Chef Yomoda has created a new super luxe rice bowl dish using premium Wagyu beef for only $9.90. The Roast Wagyu Beef Donburi is delectably accompanied by two sauces; Signature Sweet Sauce and Truffle Aioli.
Chef Yomoda previously trained in classic French cuisine in Lyon under the command of Alain Chapel. In 2008, Yomoda San worked at acclaimed French restaurant Robouchon, following which he moved to Tokyo where he received a coveted Michelin Star as Executive Chef at Arbrace, Japan.
Now bringing these sparkling talents together using refined classic French techniques with an appreciation of the balance of Japanese flavours, Yomoda Rice Workshop dish secret is in the special silky sauces that he has created.
We absolutely loved the dish which is made from wagyu meat which is sliced thinly and cooked lightly and served with sauces that enhances the meat which boasts a beautiful ‘melt in your mouth’ quality. The signature sweet sauce, truffle aioli and a freshly poached egg provides balance to the dish.
