MoCU (Modern Curations Gallery) is an online solution to discovering artisanal beer, cider and wine. The platform provides carefully curated collections which feature a selection of the finest craft and seasonal products thoughtfully prepared by MoCU’s brewers.

MoCU currently has five curated collections available including:

  • The Art of Indulgence ($45.95 RRP): contains 10 bottles – 6 different beers for a guided tasting.
  • The Journey to Gastronomy ($47.95 RRP): contains 10 bottles – five pairs of different beers with delicious recipes to match.
  • The NZ Collector ($45.95): contains 10 beers – one bottle of each style to reflect the spirit of the people and place where they have been created.
  • Winter Wanderlust ($52.95 RRP): contains 12 bottles – one bottle of each style and two of Wizard Smith to sip and savour.
  • Chuck Hahn Master Brewer ($34.95): contains four different pale ales (two of each) in this exclusive collection for MoCU.

Aside from their carefully curated collections, MoCU also sells a selection of beer, wine and cider including: Little Creatures, MacRostie and James Squire.

The Journey of Gastronomy

We enjoyed embarking on MoCU's Journey to Gastronomy with five drool-worthy food and beer pairings.

MoCU has meticulously designed a menu for this collection that tantalises the palate. This fusion of food and beverage is as much an art as it is a science, so the guys have curated the perfect recipes to enjoy with the beers!

We loved drawing inspiration from the recipes and coming up with our own pairings like James Boag's Wizard Smith with chunky pepper steak pie by the fire, Little Creatures Pilsner matched with sushi, and decadent White Rabbit Dark Ale with luxurious chocolate waffles. As its name suggests, this certainly was a journey to gastronomy!
