Mukka

One of our favourite Indian restaurants in Melbourne, Mukka delivers Indian cuisine like you have never tasted before by treating guests to authentic Indian cuisine just the way it’s done in India.

We loved re-visiting Mukka and continuing to discover the menu. 

As far as cocktails go, these guys have it down pat. For an interesting take on the traditional, we love their mango lassi with coconut rum cocktail. It doesn't always appear on the menu or specials board, but it's always available! Try it, you'll love it.

The food was, as expected from our previous visits, high quality and freshly cooked with love and care. We loved that everything is made in-house. From the smoked and ground spices, freshly made chutneys to delicate naan breads.

To start the chicken tikka was impressive. Succulent juicy pieces of chicken thigh filled has been marinated overnight in a subtle mix of spices and yogurt before being cooked in a traditional Tanfoor oven and served with refreshing kachumbar salad. 

For mains we adored the curries we had. The Butter Chicken was a beautiful curry - a crowd favourite which had us fighting for the last morsel.  The Palak Paneer - was a captivating and delicate spinach curry with moreish paneer. Both, a great pair with the fluffy naan and beady basmati rice.

Fresh and full of the spices Mukka continues to be a compelling proposition one year on!
