Almost a year to the day since Starward made the move from an old maintenance hanger in Essendon Fields to its larger location in Port Melbourne, the boutique Australian whisky distiller played host to a night of dessert and cocktail pairing degustation in its attractively adorned open bar, in collaboration with its South Melbourne-based artisanal patisserie neighbour Bibelot.
Guests were treated to a range of decadent sweets, expertly paired with a range of cocktails prepared by Starward's bartenders and featuring Starward's robust yet smooth offering of wine-barrel matured whiskies.
Each dessert and cocktail course wete strikingly presented and effortlessly complimented each other; the highlight being the rich milk chocolate of Bibelot's Delice De Chocolat paired with Starward's 10th Anniversary edition single malt whisky, which marks the tenth anniversary of the distillery's operations.
