Syracuse Wine Bar Restaurant offers a delicious and bang for your buck Express Lunch option perfect for city workers who want to escape the weekday grind during their 1 hour lunch break.
We loved tasting our way through the three course option which will set you back $49pp (the 2 course option is $39pp).
For entrees the carrot & chervil soup with ginger nut crumble is luscious and hearty while the pork & pistachio terrine served with pear chutney is beautifully made and absolutely moreish.
Mains are kept simple with the choice of seared salmon served with puy lentils and “curried egg” as well as a heavier pasta option of Penne “Amatriciana”.
Dessert was our favourite course with a textbook vanilla panna cotta served with beautifully poached pear. If you are not a sweet tooth the cheese option is marvellous and is served with house made quince paste and walnut crackers.
