Yum Sing House

Yum Sing House is a hot diner infused with the decadent sights, sounds and tastes of 1960s Hong Kong.

The two-level warehouse takes visitors on a journey to a different era; a time of cultural liberation, when Hong Kong became one of the world’s major metropolises, and one of the four Asian Tigers.

The karaoke rooms transport late-night singers to the colourful neighbourhoods of the period while Melbourne culinary royalty Aiven Chee will inject a very 2021 flavour.

We loved tasting our way through the menu, Head Chef Aiven Chee (formerly Longrain) helms the kitchen and serves utterly delicious playful interpretations of classic Cantonese and favourite Chinese dishes.

On the drinks front, the cocktail list is inspired by the flavours of the city, starring tea-based drinks in black milk and lemon.

Each of the five karaoke rooms is named after a Hong Kong neighbourhood and themed accordingly - Wan Chai takes its inspiration from the city’s renowned red-light district, while Happy Valley has a horse-racing motif.
