OMI

OMI, home to premium Japanese-fusion rice bowls, has launched a new eatery located in the new Casual Dining Precinct of Chadstone.

Well-known for their premium wagyu don, OMI are now stepping up their game with their new licensed seventy-seat eatery, through an exciting partnership with Japanese Iron Chef Ikuei Arakane, who has previously headed the kitchen at Taxi Dining Room, and is commonly known as ‘Kin San’. Kin San is the new Chadstone store’s Executive Consultant Chef and has created a completely new udon range and other dishes.

We loved dining on the new mouth-watering Japanese-fusion menu. The Signature Wagyu Curry Laksa Udon was a real highlight. Al dente ribbons of udon were coated in a thick curry sauce and boasted the most tender and flavoursome morsels of beef. We loved that OMI Australia only uses the highest quality wagyu, sourced from renown local suppliers Sher Wagyu and Robbins Island Wagyu Beef.

The signature salmon was similarly delightful. Cooked to perfection using Oceania Seafood's Sashimi-grade Tasmanian Salmon, it simply melted in our mouths and had been cooked in an umami laden miso paste. Simply stunning.

If you like kaarage, OMI’s rendition doesn’t disappoint. Moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, well-seasoned and topped with the most luxurious salted egg sauce.
