Pardon my French Crêperie

For those mourning  the departure of Pardon my French Crêperie from South Melbourne Market - we have some amazing news for you! 

What was a tiny stand-alone stand has now expanded into a comfortable café in South Yarra.

As we stepped into the store, beautiful aromas filled the air. Owner and crêpe-maker John Milic was on display, carefully pouring batter onto a flat circular hot plate. It is a work of art. John delicately spreads the batter evenly over the cooking surface ensuring the consistency of the batter is beautifully thin and ensuring the perfect temperature of the pan.

These lovely crêpes are served with a variety of sweet and savoury fillings - from the simplest with only butter and sugar to elaborate savoury ones.

We started with a couple of savoury crêpes. The Chicken Special was absolutely moreish. Filled with tender chicken breast, baby spinach, basil pesto, passata and oozy tasty cheese. The Vegetarian Delight was again, delicious. We loved the market fresh ingredients that made this dish taste wonderfully wholesome.

If you are a sweet tooth, do not leave without getting your hands on their indulgent selection of sweet crêpes. We recommend the Strawberry Dream and The Canadian. White chocolate lovers will fall in love with the Strawberry Dream. Slices of fresh strawberries are intertwined amongst decadent creamy white chocolate. The Canadian on the other hand is a wonderful amalgamation of sliced banana, Canadian maple syrup all finished with an aromatic sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. Just yum!

Attention to detail combined with the use of locally sourced products and a whole lot of love, Pardon my French Crêperie is an absolutely scrumptious experience.
