Handmade pasta shines here, and the Cappellacci Zucca e Tartufo was an aromatic delight — each delicate ravioli filled with ricotta and butternut squash, then bathed in a rich truffle cream. For something heartier, the Ragù d’Anatra delivered rustic comfort with homemade cavatelli pasta tangled in tender duck ragu, lifted by fennel seed, carrot fondue, and a scattering of smoked ricotta cheese.

But the standout — the dish you simply must order — was the Merluzzo con Asparagi. Perfectly seared black cod, paired with tender sautéed asparagus, pillowy potato foam, and savoury black olive crumbs, it was a masterclass in flavour and texture.

As part of a hotel-wide celebration, La Tavola is also participating in a special river prawn promotion running across all Renaissance Bangkok restaurants, offering guests a chance to enjoy this prized delicacy in a variety of creative interpretations.

To finish, the Tiramisù “La Tavola” was pure indulgence — Amaretto-laced, layered with rich chocolate Manjari, and every bit as decadent as you’d hope.
